Handmade Map of San Francisco is in the Works!

While the physical plant has gelled and is ready for visitors, I’ve also made progress on my next big map.

San Francisco is the city by the bay that everyone loves and loves to visit. My current map project is entitled, “San Francisco and its Neighborhoods, North Section.” I take the liberty of creating unique projections and subsections of the subject cities for my “Great American Cities” series. For San Francisco I selected the part of the peninsula north of Noriega and 20th streets. This section seems to me to be the heart of the City that holds the most interest for visitors and admirers of the geographical and structural landmarks of San Fran. Think Golden Gate Park, Fisherman’s Wharf, the Embarcadero, Chinatown, Russian Hill, Lombard Street, the Mission District, the Haight and Ashbury, and Telegraph Hill, to name just a few of the sights and sites in this north section. The map is about 60% done and will be completed by the end of August 2017. I think it will be a popular addition to my catalog, considering how many people are attracted to the City.

You’ll be the first to know of its completion!
